Hi, I’m Katerina! I’m glad you’re here and decided to get to know me and my work a little better.

Life rarely gives us perfect photos. Usually, the moments we love most live in quick snapshots, funny expressions, or tiny everyday memories we wish we could hold onto. That’s my favorite part of creating art: turning those little pieces into something meaningful you can see and enjoy every day.

I also care deeply about the experience around the artwork itself. From the first message to the final delivery, I want the whole process to feel personal, smooth, and genuinely enjoyable.

I Didn’t Choose Art Overnight

Before becoming a full-time artist, I earned Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations and Master’s degree in FinTech in Business and spent 7 years working in corporate marketing.

My background outside the art world shaped the way I run my business today. I care deeply about honesty, reliability, clear communication, and treating people with respect throughout the entire process.

I’m a self-taught artist, and I’m always learning through practice, courses, and mentorship from artists I deeply admire. Coming into the art world from outside traditional academic circles also helps me stay open-minded.

Client Experience Is My Highest Priority

I take deadlines seriously, communicate clearly, and stay transparent throughout the entire process. I never want clients to feel like they need to chase me for updates or wonder what’s happening behind the scenes.

To me, creating a beautiful painting and creating a great experience should always go hand in hand.

Which is why my responsibility doesn’t end when the painting leaves my studio. I never see my role as “my part is done, the rest is not my problem.” I stay involved until the artwork safely reaches its new home, and I make sure clients feel supported along the way.

A Commission Should Never Feel Stressful

Many of my paintings are created for deeply meaningful moments: birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, or gifts for someone very loved.

I understand how much trust people place in me when they commission something so personal, and I never take that lightly.

If a portrait is meant to arrive by a certain date, I carefully plan the entire process around it, including production time, shipping, and possible delays. And if something unexpected ever comes up, I communicate it early and openly.

I also personally handle shipping updates and customs-related questions, so clients can simply enjoy the process of waiting for something meaningful to arrive.

I Care About Resemblance Deeply

One of the most important things to me is making sure a portrait truly feels like your pet.

Sometimes it’s a certain look in the eyes. Sometimes it’s the posture, the expression, or a tiny detail around the mouth that instantly feels familiar. Those details matter enormously to me because they’re often the things people recognize emotionally first.

I want you to look at the finished painting and immediately think:
“That’s my girl!”

You Don’t Need Perfect Photos

Most people don’t have professional photos of their pets, and that’s completely okay.

Some of the most meaningful pictures are blurry phone snapshots or quick little moments captured by accident. A sleepy face on the couch can say more than a perfectly staged studio photo ever could.

I usually ask for several photos from different angles so I can piece everything together naturally and create a portrait that feels authentic to your pet and your vision.

I’m Always Learning

One of my favorite things about art is that there’s always something new to discover.

I’m constantly studying painting, color, lighting, texture, and storytelling through practice and ongoing learning. Some artists who influenced my work the most are Marco Bucci, James Gurney and Tahlia Stanton.

I also love experimenting with materials, from traditional oils and acrylics to modelling paste, metallic details, and textured surfaces. Curiosity is a huge part of my creative process, and it will always stay that way.

My Inspiration: Old Masters and Modern Stories

I love the atmosphere, craftsmanship, and emotional depth found in classical painting.

At the same time, I’m deeply inspired by modern storytelling, visual worlds, and contemporary art. To me, those influences naturally belong together.

Some of my personal work is inspired by stories and fictional worlds that stayed with me emotionally, including World of Warcraft, Cyberpunk 2077, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I genuinely see games as an incredible form of modern visual storytelling.

Thank You for Being Here

Somewhere in the world, paintings I created are hanging in homes, making people smile whenever they walk past them.

The fact that something made with my hands can become part of someone’s life in that way feels very special to me.

Everytime.

I would love to hear your story too and create something special together!
